The Violent Offences Compensation Fund Committee
An independent committee lays down the policy for one-off compensations by the Fund. On behalf of the Committee, lawyers of the Fund decide on the applications. If a victim lodges an objection against this decision, the Committee itself will decide on the objection.
The Violent Offences Compensation Fund Committee consists of ten independent members, who are appointed by the Crown. In daily life, they carry out different functions in society.
The Committee assembles each month to deal with victims’ objections against the decisions made by the Fund.
